What we offer
Some patients arrive with one specific request, like whiter teeth before a wedding. Others just know they cover their mouth in photos and cannot say exactly why. Either way, the first visit is a conversation. Dr. Valter examines your teeth, listens to what bothers you, and walks through the options that genuinely fit your situation, including the option of doing nothing for now.
- Teeth whitening, for enamel that has dulled or picked up stain from coffee, tea, or red wine
- Dental veneers, thin shells bonded over the front of teeth to change shape, color, or worn edges
- Clear Aligners, for crowding, spacing, and some bite concerns
- Dental implants, which replace a missing tooth root and the visible tooth above it
- Snap-On Smile®, a removable appliance that changes how your smile looks without drilling
- BOTOX®, for expression lines and for the jaw muscles involved in clenching and grinding
- Dermal fillers, for volume in the lips and the area around the mouth
Healthy first, then cosmetic
A beautiful result sitting on top of an untreated problem does not last. Decay under a veneer keeps spreading. Whitening gel on an exposed root surface can be genuinely uncomfortable. Teeth moved through inflamed gums are harder to keep stable. So a cosmetic plan here starts with an exam and any x-rays you need, and anything urgent gets addressed first.
That order of operations is not an upsell. In many cases it makes the cosmetic part simpler, more predictable, and less expensive than it would have been later.
How a smile consultation works here
Dr. Valter began her career as a dental hygienist before becoming a dentist, and she has spent close to a decade caring for families in Bellaire and greater Houston. That background shows up in how she explains things: slowly, in plain language, with the tradeoffs of each option laid out before anyone picks up an instrument.
Appointments are unrushed on purpose. You will hear what a treatment can realistically do, what it cannot, and what happens if you wait. Our team speaks English, Spanish, Russian, and Hebrew, and we welcome patients from Bellaire, West University, Upper Kirby, and Meyerland. You can request an appointment through our online portal, or call or text (713) 668-8383.
Common questions
Does dental insurance cover cosmetic dentistry?
Usually not, because most plans treat purely cosmetic work as elective. There are exceptions worth checking: a dental implant replacing a missing tooth, or aligner treatment correcting a bite that is wearing your teeth down, may have a functional component that some plans contribute toward. Our team can help you look at your benefits before you commit to anything.
Where should I start if I want to change my smile?
Start with an exam and a conversation, not with a specific procedure. Many people come in asking for veneers and leave with a plan built around whitening and a few hours of bonding, or the reverse. Bring photos of smiles you like if you have them, since that tells Dr. Valter more about your goal than a treatment name does.
How long does cosmetic dental treatment take?
It depends entirely on the treatment. Whitening can happen over one visit or a couple of weeks at home, veneers usually take two or three appointments, and aligner treatment runs for months. Dr. Valter will give you a realistic timeline for your case before you decide anything.
Do you see patients from outside Bellaire?
Yes. Our office at 6699 Chimney Rock Rd, Suite 101 is a short drive for patients across southwest Houston, and we regularly see people from West University, Upper Kirby, and Meyerland. We are open Monday and Tuesday 8a to 5p, Wednesday and Thursday 7a to 3p, and Friday 8a to 12p.
